A Weight Watchers leader, who has helped dieters lose 150 stone so far this year, has been honoured.

Naomi Stein, 28, from Green Lane, Hendon, was named a Diamond Leader during a ceremony in Manchester.

The pregnant mother-of-two was given the title to recognise the work she has done to help 120 dieters in North London to lose a combined 150 stone so far this year.

Ms Stein, who leads Weight Watchers classes in Hendon, Harrow Weald and Stamford Hill, became a leader in November 2010.

She took on this responsibility after undertaking the Weight Watchers programme herself.

When she joined, in March 2007, the school secretary weighted 14 and a half stone.

In the year that she was following the Weight Watchers programme she lost five stone.

Ms Stein said: “I love being a Weight Watchers leader. It is so rewarding.

“It gives me the chance to make people as happy as I am.

“I always say that nothing tastes better than being slim.

“When you go into a changing room and fit into the size you want it feels amazing.

“I feel so much better than I used to – the health benefits are incredible.”

On being given the Diamond Leader title Ms Stein was presented with a badge, certificate and an engraved pen.

She said: “I was very surprised when I found out. I actually cried. I couldn’t believe it.

“It is an honour. The ceremony was amazing. It was noisy but brilliant.

“I had such a good day despite being seven months pregnant.”

Ms Stein, who already has a five-year-old and a two-year-old intends to continue being a Weight Watchers leader after maternity leave.
