Richard Cwierzona is due to be sentenced today
A driving examiner who awarded driving licences in return for bribes is due to be sentenced today.
Richard Cwierzona, 49, of Monks Road, Lincoln, was due to be sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court last week but he failed to turn up for court.
As a result, the sentencing was postponed until today.
Mr Cwierzona, who worked as a driving instructor in Hendon, Wood Green, Hayes and Barnet, pleaded guilty to soliciting bribes in exchange for passing people on their tests.
At a trial of two co-defendants, who were acquitted, the investigation found there were grounds to prove Mr Cwierzona had committed a total of 57 offences in Barnet.
