Three men have been found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, affray, and assault amounting to actual bodily harm.

Christopher Hayes, 25, and Lee Hayes, 26, of Hyde Crescent, West Hendon, as well as Billy Saunders, 23, of Prayle Grove, Brent Cross, were convicted at Wood Green Crown Court yesterday.

All three of the men were convicted of all three offences after a unanimous verdict by the jury after an eight day trial.

The offences took place on October 7, 2011, following an argument at a Hendon pub over a game of pool.

The court heard how two men, aged 28 and 32, were followed from the pub after they argued over the use of the pool table.

The two victims, and three of their friends, left the pub and walked towards Hendon Central tube station.

They were followed by another group of men, which included the defendants, some of whom had armed themselves with bottles.

As the group reached the top of Vivien Avenue they were attacked by Hayes, Hayes and Saunders.

The 32-year-old victim suffered a severe wound near his eye and was struck on the back of the head.

He was then punched and knocked unconscious before being kicked repeatedly in the head.

The 28-year-old victim also suffered facial injuries.

Three people were arrested near the scene.

The trio have been released on bail and will appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Thursday for sentencing.
