A schoolgirl conquered her nerves as she jumped out of a plane for charity on Sunday.
Louise Heliczer, 16, of Brookmans Park, took on the free-fall parachute jump at the Sibson Airfield in Peterborough.
Louise, who goes to Mount Grace School in Potters Bar, said: “I was calm in the plane but as soon as the door opened I got really nervous and my heart was racing.”
But with the help of an instructor, she fell 13,000ft and raised more than £1,000 for the British Heart Foundation which aims to prevent people dying from heart disease.
Louise said: “My granddad, Jerry, died of a heart condition so the charity is something that’s quite personal to me.
“The skydive was amazing – the best experience ever – and I’m proud of myself for raising so much money.”
