Firefighters are working to free a woman from an overturned car in Hendon.

Emergency services were called to Finchley Lane, at the junction with Great North Way, shortly before 2.30pm, where a black Nissan Micra had rolled onto its side.

Eye-witnesses said the car clipped a parked vehicle before it rolled.

Police have closed the road while firefighters cut the driver free, though she is not thought to be badly injured.

Traffic is building up in both directions.

One eye-witness, who did not want to be named, was waiting for a bus when she saw the accident take place.

She said: “The car just hit a parked car and rolled. The sun is so bright – you can’t see a thing.

“I instantly ran over to the woman to make sure she was alright but she was fine. Once I heard her talking I knew she was ok.

“I was feeling very shaken up – it is a scary sight to see.”
