A small army of volunteers that will help marshall and advise supporters at Saracens’ new stadium was unveiled this week.
The Saracens Pioneers have been recruited by the club’s directors, who hope they can emulate the success of the Olympics Games Makers last summers.
Volunteers will be given free tickets to two matches for every two they marshal and more than 200 have signed up to the scheme.
On Saturday, more than 160 were given an induction at Allianz Park, formerly the Copthall Stadium, where Saracens play their first match in the LV Cup on January 27.
The Pioneers will assist with jobs from transport management and seating allocation to marketing and media handling on match days.
Some with past experience in certain areas have already been selected as team leaders and are receiving extra training.
Volunteer Carol Roberts said: “Having such a massive club moving to our area is something which, as a rugby fan, I wanted to be a part of - it is great for Barnet.
"The Games Makers made such a positive impact on the Olympics and the whole of London and that’s the same sort of ethos we all want to be a part of at Sarries’ new home.”
