Thousands of pensioners are missing out on benefits, according to figures published by the Mayor of London’s office.

Some 5,700 older people in the borough could claim an extra £35 a week, or £1,800 a year.

One in three older people in the capital miss out on Pension Credit, according to statistics put together by the Know Your Rights campaign.

To find out if you are claiming all you are entitled to, contact your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or call Age UK on 0800 169 6565.
