A youth club is looking to Tinseltown to help to boost its numbers with a relaunch party for teenagers this Friday.
The Cheshire Hall Community Centre, in Foster Street, Hendon, is hosting the Hollywood glitz and glamour party as the group tries to reach out to young people in the area.
The club was started one year ago by Barnet Homes and Fair Play Barnet to provide evening activities and workshops.
Friday’s free event includes a live MC and music, a milkshake and ice cream bar and Xbox competitions.
Henry Purkins, who has been manager for the past six months, said: “We want some more kids to come along. It engages them in positive activities and workshops where they can discuss issues facing young people. We want to raise the profile of the club and hopefully boost the numbers.”
The club usually meets on Tuesday evenings at the hall between 6.30pm and 9.30pm.
