Masked robbers leapt the counter and pinned a member of staff to the wall in a building society robbery in Edgware.

The three raiders burst into the Britannia Building Society branch in Station Road at around 9.40am on Friday.

Two jumped over the counter and one pinned a member of staff to the wall. A second grabbed money while a third raider stood guard at the door.

All three then fled in the direction of Rectory Lane.

The first suspect is described as black, aged around 17 years old, 5ft 6ins tall, with broad shoulders and close cut black hair.

He was wearing a navy-coloured baseball cap, a black sweatshirt, black tracksuit bottoms and black fabric gloves.

The second suspect is described as black, 17 to 20 years old, 5ft 6in tall and of proportional build.

He was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

During the robbery he is believed to have had his hood up and was wearing some sort of face covering, either a ski mask or scarf over his face.

Both men spoke with a London accent.

The final suspect is described as black and was wearing black clothing.
