A bar where five men were injured during a mass brawl earlier this week will have its licence reviewed following a complaint by police.
Officers made the application for a review of La Gogu bar's licence on the grounds the premises “is associated with serious crime and disorder”.
A disturbance took place outside the bar in Nether Street, Finchley Central, at 5am on Wednesday.
Five men were taken to hospital after the fight, which involved ten to 15 men, and two suffered what police officers described as “life threatening or life changing” injuries.
A window at the bar was also smashed during the altercation.
Two men, aged 25 and 25, have since been arrested over the brawl, described by police as “violent and horrific”.
Nether Street was closed off all day on Wednesday while forensics teams gathered evidence, including a blood-stained jacket left strewn on the pavement outside the bar.
Barnet Police lodged an application for a review of the bar’s licence yesterday on the grounds the premises were associated with serious crime and serious disorder.
Officers and members of the public have until June 7 to make representations to the authority on the matter.
