Students will use LEGO blocks to build problem-solving robots in a global competition today.
Hasmonean High School in Hendon and East Barnet School will go head-to-head with pupils from across London in the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s LEGO league regional tournament.
Each team, made up of nine to 16-year-olds, must design and programme a LEGO robot and use it to solve problems and complete tasks.
Teams will be judged on their ability to build and programme the robot, their presentation and research skills and how well they cooperate with each other and their competitors.
The winners will go on to compete in the national final, which is due to take place in Loughborough on February 1.
