Jurors have been sworn in for the trial of a man accused of murdering a woman whose body was found in a discarded suitcase in Mill Hill.
Laszlo Gyarmati, of Station Road, Finchley, previously pleaded not guilty to murdering 25-year-old Hungarian national, Alexandra Kovacs.
Her body was discovered in a suitcase in woods alongside Dollis Brook in Thornfield Avenue in July last year.
Mr Gyarmati appeared at Central Criminal Court dressed in jogging pants and a grey sweat top this morning. An interpreter accompanied the 29-year-old, who is a Hungarian national.
The trial is expected to last between two and three weeks.
