Police joined forces with councillors and volunteers to help spruce up a homeless hostel.
Officers from Brunswick Park Safer Neighbourhood Team and Homeless Action in Barnet organised the initiative, in which they helped out with a spring clean and planted flowers in Friern Barnet Road.
Pots, compost, plants and paint were donated by B&Q and Glebelands Allotment Society while volunteers turned up to lend a helping hand.
Among the volunteers were members of Coppies Grove Residents Association, Barnet Borough Councillors and the manager of Brunswick Park BP garage.
PCSO Justin Burda said: “Plus of course the residents of the hostel got involved and helped out. As a result the three gardens of the hostel at the front of the building are now looking a bit more attractive.”
