Churchgoers set off on a seven-hour pilgrimage from Whetstone to Westminster today.
Reverend Doctor Gregory Platten set off from Totteridge and Whetstone station at 9.15am followed by members of his congregation from All Saints Church.
They walked via a number of Tube stations along their route, including East Finchley and Woodside Park where more people joined the pilgrimage.
Revd Platten said: “A pilgrimage is an ancient way of praying, and so we thought it would be a great way of getting the church community together to walk and talk, pray and get to know each other.
“By the end of the pilgrimage you should always end up at a shrine and that’s why we decided to walk to Westminster Abbey, where we will have a service and take part in evensong.”
The group could be seen carrying a banner showing a picture of All Saints Church as they made their way through the streets of London.
