Elderly people were invited to a tea party to help combat isolation among people living in Barnet.
Finchley and Golders Green MP Mike Freer held an event in support of Contact the Elderly at his constituency office in Ballards Lane, North Finchley.
Around 25 people packed into the hall to enjoy tea, cakes, sandwiches and entertainment.
Speaking after the event, Mr Freer said: “Social isolation has been shown damaging to health in later years.
“Contact the Elderly are an excellent charity who by helping to organise social events, are providing an invaluable service to combat loneliness. The events are great fun and make a real difference to those that attend."
