Smokers encouraged to kick habit
Smokers are being encouraged to kick the habit this month.
Stoptober is run by Public Health England and challenges people to stop smoking for 28 days.
A number of events are being held in Barnet next week.
Specialists from Central London Community Healthcare will be on hand to give advice at The Broadwalk Centre, in Station Road, Edgware, on Tuesday from 11am to 4pm.
Barnet Hospital, in Wellhouse Lane, Barnet, is hosting a Stoptober stall on Wednesday from 9.30am to 4.30pm, where specialists will answer questions.
Tests will be available on both days to measure the amount of carbon monoxide in the blood.
