A university campus was closed off as police forensic teams searched the scene in a murder investigation.
The entrance of Middlesex University in Greyhound Hill, Hendon, is closed after a man was stabbed in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called by university staff at 1.09am to reports of a fight and found a 22-year-old man had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition but later died.
A large part of the university site has been closed off around The Sheppard Library, but students have been allowed on the rest of the campus.
Middlesex University says it is co-operating with police in its investigation.
