Hundreds of suspected fake designer goods were seized in a raid.
Trading standards officers, along with police officers and brand experts, searched a shop in Golders Green and found goods, which if genuine, are believed to be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The haul included clothing, handbags, purses, watches and sunglasses, branded with designer labels such as Prada, Gucci, and Ralph Lauren.
In total, the team took away around 150 evidence bags during the raid last month, which will now be examined by experts.
Councillor Dean Cohen, chairman of the environment committee, said: “Shoppers should expect to have confidence in the authenticity of what they are buying, especially at this time of year when people will be looking to buy gifts for friends and family.
“People should be wary of anything that looks like a designer bargain as it is probably not what it seems.”
