Runners who want to show off their stamina for a good cause can take part in a marathon to raise money for charity.

Norwood, which is based in Stanmore but has centres across Barnet, including Bucket and Spades in Finchley and the Kennedy Leigh Centre, in Hendon, is inviting people to take part in the London Marathon.

The charity helps support Jewish people with a range of learning disabilities.

Stephanie Isaacson, Norwood’s challenges manager, said: “It’s great news for those runners who have left signing up to the last minute.

“Whether you’re an experienced runner who wants to smash their personal best, or a first timer, places are in short supply – don’t wait any longer.

“We’re always on hand for fundraising advice and support, so you’ll get all the help you need to take on the challenge of a lifetime.”

The 26.2 mile London Marathon route passes London landmarks including the Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf and the Houses of Parliament.

Last year’s runners raised more than £100,000 for Norwood’s services.
