Jewish community leaders met MPs to discuss security concerns with the Metropolitan Police.
Barnet Police’s Borough Commander Adrian Usher outlined plans at the meeting last week to ensure the Jewish community remains safe following the terror attacks in Paris last month.
Finchley and Golders Green MP Mike Freer, who led the delegation to the House of Commons, said: “All too often I receive correspondence from Jewish constituents who tell me they no longer feel safe in Britain.
"It is absolutely vital that local police, MPs and others continue to work closely together to ensure that the sort of attacks seen elsewhere are not replicated on our streets.”
The meeting was also attended by Hendon MP Matthew Offord, Barnet’s rabbis, Jewish school headteachers and the charities Norwood and the Community Security Trust (CST).
