The National Lottery is hoping to tap into Barnet FC’s winning streak to the find the mystery owner of a ticket worth £1.8m.

The ticket matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto Quadruple Rollover draw on January 28, and was bought somewhere in the borough of Barnet.

The total prize is worth £1,804,955 and needs to be claimed before midnight on July 27.

Barnet winger Keanu Marsh-Brown is calling on fans to help find Barnet’s lucky ticket-holder.

The Bees number 7 said: “Let’s hope our winning form rubs off and the mystery ticket-holder comes forward for their own winnings.

“It’s a massive amount of money and could really change lives. It’s unbelievable to think someone is going about their day not knowing that their life could be a whole lot easier. So get searching and remind your family and friends to do the same.”

The National Lottery will also be joining the Vanarama Conference table-topping Bees at their match against Halifax FC as part of the search to find the borough’s latest winner.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “Sitting pretty at the top of the league the Bees are proving to be true winners so we really hope that the team, and their many supporters, will help us find Barnet’s other winner.

“We’re eager to find the mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their fortune, who knows, maybe they are a staunch Barnet fan and will be sinking a chunk of the win into the club.”

Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
