Children took part in a cake decorating competition to celebrate the opening of their school’s new office building.
Pupils at Deansbrook Infant School, in Hale Drive, Mill Hill, welcomed BBC Great British Bake Off finalist Richard Burr to the ceremony.
The children made bunting to decorate the school and impressed Mr Burr with their cake-decorating skills.
Mr Burr said: “The number of children who participated in the competition was amazing. It was so lovely to see so much creativity at such a young age.”
Pupils sang songs to Barnet mayor Cllr Hugh Rayner, who cut the red ribbon to open the school’s new office.
Cllr Rayner said: “I was delighted to have been invited to the opening ceremony, it was a great honour and an amazing day.
“It was fantastic meeting so many of the wonderful pupils and staff who make Deansbrook Infants such a wonderful school.”
