CCTV footage has been released after a 60-year-old woman had her purse stolen from a supermarket.
The Metropolitan Police want to trace a man to speak to following the incident in a supermarket on Ballards Lane, Finchley on Friday, July 31 at about 3pm.
The woman realised her purse was missing when she went to pay at the checkout.
Officers viewed the CCTV and saw a man put his hand in her shopping bag while her trolley was left unattended.
The man is described as a stocky black man, bald and aged between 40 to 50-years-old. He was wearing a dark jacket and dark trousers.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting image 187323 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
