POLICE have charged a total of 12 people following evictions on the Sweets Way estate.

Bailiffs turned up at the Whetstone estate last Wednesday (September 23) and Thursday (September 24) to evict squatters, and the last tenants, to make way for the estate redevelopment.

Those charged include Danielle Hartley, 21, of Brick Lane, east London, who was arrested last Wednesday and charged with being drunk and disorderly and causing criminal damage to a police holding room.

She appeared at Hendon Magistrates’ Court last Thursday, and was given a 12 month conditional discharge for criminal damage, and was ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and a £150 criminal court charge. 

Thomas Palmer, 27, of no fixed abode, was arrested last Wednesday and charged with being drunk and disorderly.

He appeared at Hendon Magistrates’ Court last Thursday , and was fined £80 and ordered to pay £50 costs, a £20 victim surcharge and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Aaron Bell, 28, of Lodge Street, Accrington, Ilona Petrosiute, 20, of Kentish Town Road, Camden, and Frederikke Erland Nissen, 20, of no fixed abode, were all arrested last Thursday and charged with obstructing a high enforcement officer.

All three were bailed to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 23.

Matthew Brown, 24, and Oscar Bell, 30, both of no fixed abode, were arrested last Thursday and charged with obstructing a High Court enforcement officer.

Both were bailed to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (October 1).

Laura Rebane, 27, of Speedwell, Deptford, was arrested last Wednesday (September 23) and charged with assault by beating, assaulting a police officer and criminal damage to a police vehicle.

She appeared at Hendon Magistrates’ Court last Friday and was banned from the Sweets Way estate and made to pay £100 in compensation.

A man, name, age and address unknown, was arrested last Thursday and was charged with obstructing a High Court enforcement officer.

He was held in custody to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (October 1).

Shean Caisley, 36, and Alexander Joshua Blanchard, 21, both of no fixed abode, were both arrested last Thursday, and charged with obstructing a High Court enforcement officer.

They were bailed to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (October 1).

A 25-year-old-man, name and address unknown, was also arrested last Thursday and charged with obstructing a High Court enforcement officer.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (October 1).

Officers also arrested four men, aged 34, 26, 21 and 33 last Thursday for obstructing a high court enforcement officer.

They were taken to a north London police station and were bailed to return in November.

A 37-year-old man was also arrested last Thursday for a racially aggravated public order offence, and was bailed to return in November.

The Met also arrested two women, aged 24 and 44, last Thursday for obstructing a high court enforcement officer, and were taken to a north London police station and were bailed to return in November. The 44-year-old was also arrested for possession of class B drugs.
