A MURDER investigation has been launched after a woman’s body was discovered in Cricklewood.
Police and paramedics were called at 8.10am yesterday (October 8) to a home in Melrose Avenue, and discovered the body of a woman in her 40s.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said they believe they know the identity of the woman, and next-of-kin have been informed. They will await formal identification before releasing a name.
A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command is investigating.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
