THIS was the scene after a Land Rover burst into flames in East Finchley on Saturday morning.
Firefighters spent more than an hour battling the blaze, which broke out in Ossulton Way, off East End Road, at 9.05am.
The London Fire Brigade say half of the car was badly damaged but the driver escaped unharmed.
Witness Paul Rose said once the flames were out, the brigade were unable to disconnect the hose from the mains, leaving water flowing down the street.
