A team at a Sainsbury’s store will work to raise awareness of UK carers this year.
Sainsbury’s store in Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, will support the week by holding awareness raising activities in store.
In the UK, one in eight adults care for a loved one who is older, disabled or seriously ill.
This year’s annual carer’s week takes place from June 6-12, and Jane Litchfield, manager at Sainsbury’s Potters Bar said: “Many of our colleagues are carers and this is such an important event to inform our customers and colleagues about the help and support that is available in the local community in Potters Bar.”
Carers UK gives expert information and advice that is suited to meet carers’ specific needs and develop ways to make carers’ lives better.
