A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman was attacked in Finchley.
The woman in her 20s, was walking along Long Lane, when she was attacked in the early hours on Saturday June 11.
She was then being cared for by specialist officers.
Detectives from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command were appealing for help, and a 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday (July 3), on suspicion of rape.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan police said: “The man was identified as a direct result of the appeals.
“We would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance with this appeal.”
