A woman charged in connection with the disappearance of a baby born in Barnet in 2004, who has not been seen for more than 11 years, will remain in custody following her latest court appearance.

Victoria Gayle, 31, of no fixed address, appeared for a pre-trial review at Kingston Crown Court on Wednesday, 26 October, where she pleaded not guilty to preventing a lawful and decent burial and perverting the course of justice. She was remanded for trial on April 24, 2017.

A 50-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man, who were both arrested on suspicion of preventing a lawful and decent burial, have been re-bailed pending further enquires to a date in late November.

A 38-year old man who was arrested on Friday, September 16, on suspicion of preventing a lawful burial and perverting the course of justice has been bailed to a date in mid-November.
