A woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition after being found by a passer-by.
Police were called to Kinloss Court, Finchley, at around 6.15pm yesterday to reports of an injured woman.
It is believed that the 26-year-old was hurt at some point between 4pm and the time she was found by a member of the public.
She was taken to a central London hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Police have established her identity.

Detective Chief Inspector Owain Richards, from Barnet Borough Police, said: "It is of paramount importance that we quickly establish the circumstances that led to this woman receiving injuries which have left her in hospital in a critical condition."
