Thieves stole iPads, laptops and trashed an autism charity office in Finchley Road on Monday night.

Three men attempted to enter Resources for Autism by breaking down the back door with a shovel, but broke a window to gain access at 4.21am.

The men stole laptops, iPads and change from the charity’s small pot, but trashed the office looking for money in other places, leaving at around 5.40am.

Resources for Autism director Liza Dresner said: “It is horrible – we have just started our Easter play scheme.

“It’s just very, very depressing.”

The charity were given CCTV installation after they were broken into previously, which has meant they can send images of the thieves to the police.

Police and forensic specialists are at the scene.
