If you hear gunfire in Leavesden over the next couple of weeks, don’t panic. It’s probably nothing to worry about.

Night shoots for a new movie at the Warner Bros Studios, taking place on Wednesday July 12 and Monday July 17, will involve the use of “small gunfire effects”, a letter sent out to neighbours said this week.

Filming will also involve the use of high-level lighting, smoke and mist effects, as well as “general production filming noise”.

The studios say they do not anticipate any other special effects or loud hailers to be used.

Three Rivers District Council and all relevant authorities have been notified.
