Primary pupils have missed the start of the new term after their school was forced to close due to heating problems.
Children at George Tomlinson Primary School in Leytonstone had been due to return to class after the Christmas break on January 3.
However, problems with a damaged heating pipe mean the school has yet to open its doors this term.
Waltham Forest Council said repairs were being carried out and George Tomlinson was now due to reopen a week late on Wednesday (January 10).
In a statement posted on its website, the school said: “The school will be fully reopened on Wednesday to all year groups including nursery at normal opening hours.
“Breakfast and After School Club will be running. All usual gates will be open.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and difficulties this has caused and are looking forward to seeing all pupils back on Wednesday.”
