Hendon Labour MP Andrew Dismore was elected on the promise to hold a referendum about the European constitution.

On March 5 he voted against such a referendum in parliament. Could he please explain to us why he betrayed the trust of his voters?

The Labour party and part of the Liberal Democrats claim the Lisbon Treaty is different from the old European constitution. Two parliamentary select committees - dominated by Labour and the Lib Dems - found the Lisbon Treaty was substantially the same as the constitution. Countless European and UK politicians have said the Lisbon Treaty is the same in all but name.

I am looking forward to reading what Mr Dismore's lame excuse will be.
