Two classic films about the Blitz, starring Michael Caine and Kevin Moore, will be shown at this year's Battle of Britain weekend.
Ajay Srivastava, press officer for the Museum says: "We're celebrating the Royal Air Force pilots who defended Britain in the Forties, and this event helps bring history alive.
"It's a hands on, educational day out for the family."
A living history area will be on display to exhibit how pilots lived during the Blitz, and entertainment is provided for children with a quiz trail and the opportunity to make cut-out-and-keep spitfires.
The event also features an actual spitfire used in the Blitz. Re-enactors will be in the museum talking about their experiences in the sky all day.
Battle of Britain Weekend will take place at the Royal Air Force Museum London, in Grahame Park Way, Colindale, on September 13 and 14, from 10am to 5pm.
Admission and parking is free. For more information see www.rafmuseum.org.
