So, today is my final day as a pregnant person who works. From tomorrow I will be a lady of leisure, swanning about and lunching with my pals. Yeah right.

The list of things that need doing seems to be growing rather than getting smaller and my ability to do much without a three hour interval every five minutes is diminishing.

I have to stock the freezer with easy to cook healthy meals ready for when I haven’t the time or inclination to do anything more than flick an oven on. (Much like now then). So that means I need to don the apron and start making wholesome meals to keep for such occasions. Job number one.

I have to pack the baby’s bag so that it doesn’t leave the hospital naked. Job number two.

I have to pack the husband’s bag so that he doesn’t leave the hospital stinking. Job number three.

I have to pack my second hospital bag so that I leave the hospital fresh faced and raring to go. Yeah right. Job number four.

Oh and there’s plenty else to do including sourcing the TENS machine (which is going to allow me to cope with the first three seconds of contractions without needing further pain relief), getting the light switches changed (baby room needs dimmer switch for easy night time feeding), and then there’s a host of bits to buy and places to go, you know how it is.

But don’t worry because I will do my best to find time to carry on writing this blog (you weren’t at all worried were you.) It would seem a shame to stop now before the story has reached the best bit (hopefully) and so I am going to try and keep you updated as much as I can.

So it’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon. Perhaps with a baby in tow...
