A SPECIAL screening of a football feature film is being held in East Finchley this evening.

The Phoenix Cinema, in High Road, is hosting a showing of The Gooner Review to help raise money for charity.

The film, which claims to be “made by Arsenal fans for Arsenal fans”, focuses on the 2008-09 season and critiques the events from a supporters' perspective.

It was directed by BBC nominated Rudolf Buitendach and looks at the top ten most significant moments of the season, featuring interviews with fans, former players, journalists, and celebrities.

Arsenal favourite Perry Groves and fan Shovell, from the band M-People, are due to attend the evening, which will be presented by comedian and devoted Gooner Paul Kaye.

All the money raised from the evening will go to The Willow Foundation, a charity set up by former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson, and to the Phoenix Cinema Centenary Restoration Project.

Tickets are still available for the 9pm to 11pm screening priced at £10 or £7 concessions from the box office on 020 8444 6789 or www.phoenixcinema.co.uk.
