A CHILDREN'S hospice is egg-static about the response to its Easter Egg appeal in a joint campaign with the Times Series.

More than 300 Easter eggs have been donated to Noah's Ark children's hospice by Times Series readers, businesses and community groups.

These will go towards an Easter egg hunt this weekend to raise money for the charity. They will also hold face painting, an egg and spoon race and craft activities.

Hospice volunteers Dave and Sue Baldwin dressed up as the Easter Bunny and an Easter Chick to collect the eggs on Monday.

Dave said: "We had a fantastic time collecting the Easter Eggs and were made very welcome by all the people we met. We are totally overwhelmed by everyone's generosity."

Noah's Ark has thanked all the individuals and businesses who donated to the event.

The Easter Eggstravaganza will take place at Capel Manor Gardens, Enfield, on Saturday April 3, from 12pm-3pm. Entry is £5.50 for adults, £2.50 for children or free for under 3s. Family discounts are available.
