The Green Party say building more roads is stupidity'. Knocking down homes and shops to build more roads is utter madness'.
Some largely unaffected people propose an unfunded and unsightly motorway, which would cause a massive destruction of houses, businesses and environment. What is realistically deliverable? Transport for London's safety and environmental scheme would provide modelled, planned and increased road capacity on the North Circular Road, while minimising the loss of houses and business.
Teamwork and meetings are required betweeen the relevant authorities and a prompt, smooth planning process is vital. Remedial measures and adequate financial compensation are needed from Government for people who have suffered from avoidable long term planning blight' (on the Enfield/Haringey border).
