THE full list of parliamentary candidates for the General Election on May 6 has been confirmed by Barnet Council.
Nominations for the poll closed yesterday and officers have verified the 16 hopefuls to battle it out for the three seats in the borough.
For Chipping Barnet, currently held by the Conservatives, these are: Stephen David Barber (Lib Dem), Philip Gerald Clayton (Independent), James Gordon Fluss (UKIP), Kate Tansley (Green Party), Theresa Villiers (Conservative), Damien Welfare (Labour).
In Finchley and Golers Green incumbent Labour MP Rudi Vis has stepped down due to bad health. The nominees are: Susan Cummins (UKIP), Laura Rose Edge (Lib Dem), Mike Freer (Conservative), Donald Edmund Lyven (Green Party), Alison Moore (Labour).
In Hendon the Labour MP for the last 13 years Andrew Dismore faces a stiff battle to hold onto what is predicted to be one of the tightest marginal seats in the country. The candidates are: Andrew Dismore (Labour), Matthew Frederick Harris (Lib Dem), Robin Lambert (UKIP), Andrew John Newby (Green Party), Matthew James Offord (Conservative).
