A ROCKATHON was held on Saturday at a Whetstone bar by students of a music school.
Around 120 students from Al Pascal music performed songs by bands such as My Chemical Romance, The Beatles, and Coldplay, at the iBar, in High Road.
In November last year, the school held a gig to raise money for Children in Need.
Alex Paschali, founder of the music school, said: “This was a showcase but we intend to do another charity event later on this year.
“The youngest performer was seven years old and the oldest was in their twenties and it was a range of styles and abilities.
“It’s great for them to perform as it gets them to come out of their shells and they develop their confidence.
“It’s very rewarding to see them performing on stage and this type of showcase is the perfect platform for them. Their parents and friends also get to see them and that adds to their confidence.”
