Sadly it is not only Mapledown School’s Variety Club minibus that has been the target of mean thieves (‘Heartless theft’, Times Series, September 2).
At Resources for Autism we had our Variety Club bus attacked in the same way in July.
Parked on our drive in Temple Fortune and ready to take our youngsters to the Clive Special Needs Disco at artsdepot, we too discovered that thieves have no conscience.
Our insurance company also informed us that not only did we have to pay for the expected excess but that it didn’t cover the VAT charged to replace the catalytic converter either.
