AN aspiring fashion designer from Finchley has won a top award at the Young Designer Show.
Ezoe Robinson, 17, who lives in Moat Crescent, produced a delicate chiffon dress, inspired by the musical The Lion King, which impressed judges and landed her the Young Designer Award in the 9-25 category.
Miss Robinson, who has been entering design competitions since she was ten said: "I’m really happy to have won because when you do win it makes you feel a little bit closer to becoming a real-life fashion designer.”
The Young Designer Show was established by knitwear designer Joanna Marcella to help raise the profile of young designers and was held at a central London hotel.
Miss Robinson is studying at Ashmole Academy sixth form in Southgate and when she finishes her A-levels she is keen to study fashion.
Designer Joanna Marcella said: “We’ve found a great bunch of new, fresh and exciting young designers and we seek to encourage them as much as we can."
