A RADIO DJ from Finchley organised his annual street party in aid of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice on Saturday.
Best known for his sets on Capital Gold radio Dean Martin entertained his neighbours in Eton Avenue with music, a live band, hip hop dancers and an auction.
This is the fourth year he has organised the party with his mum, Trish Martin who is a teaching assistant at Moss Hall School in Nether Street, and neighbour Anne Wilkins.
Mr Martin said: “The whole event is about meeting your neighbours and getting into the community spirit. Not many roads in north London would have a street party every year, but it’s a nice way for everybody to get to know everyone.”
More than 300 people attended the celebration, including Finchley fire crew and Finchley and Golders Green MP Mike Freer.
Around £800 was raised for Noah’s Ark which supports children with life-limiting illnesses.
