Twenty-five brothers and sisters of sick children supported by Noah's Ark enjoyed a day on board a double-decker bus fitted with a milkshake bar on Tuesday.

The outing aboard the ShakeTastic bus in Potters Bar was organised by Dan Jones, Noah's Ark family support and siblings worker, who said: “These activities give the siblings a chance to have fun and build relationships.

“They also provide them with opportunities to share experiences and feelings with other children who are, or have been, in a similar situation."

The children enjoyed playing on a Nintendo Wii, singing with a karaoke machine while enjoying the shakes.

Thomas, one of the children involved in the outing, said: “This was a fantastic day out. It is great to be able to have fun and put all your problems aside. I enjoy meeting friends who share a similar life-experience – I can be myself.”
