The newly renovated Rainbow Centre in Finchley will be officially opened on April 14.
The centre, on Dollis Valley Drive, has undergone a complete makeover carried out mainly by volunteers using donated equipment.
It now boasts a community-run cafe, youth club, adult education classes, meeting rooms and an office used by community groups.
The centre is owned by Barnet Council but is run by CommUNITY Barnet, a voluntary organisation which supports and promotes the voluntary sector.
The launch will take place from 12pm until 4pm and will involve displays of the centre’s services.
Prior to the renovation the centre was only open a few times a week, now it is open every day and is a much improved environment for visitors.
