A 37-year-old man from Hendon has been charged with the murder of a pregnant woman.
Robert Ekaireb of Corrigan Close was charged on Friday with the murder of Lihau Cao, also known as Li or Lisa Ekaireb.
Ms Cao was last seen at the end of October 2006 when she was 27-years-old. At the time she was four months pregnant.
Ms Cao lived in London with her husband but was not reported missing until February 2007 when her family in China became concerned about her whereabouts.
She left China in 2002 and worked as a waitress and dancer in Dublin until 2006.
She then moved to Hampstead with her husband and was thought to be working as a waitress or dancer in Chinatown.
Mr Ekaireb was arrested at 7pm on Thursday and was taken to a central London police station where he was charged.
He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.
He will appear at The Old Bailey tomorrow.
