Flowers, fruit and vegetables were all on display at the Hendon Horticultural Society’s annual show yesterday.
Members showed off their brightest and best cultivations of 2012 at the competition in Hendon Baptist Church hall.
More than 100 entries, including paintings, arts and crafts and a junior section, made up the competition.
Cream teas and refreshments tempted members of the public in to view the horticultural feast laid out by the entrants.
Club secretary Jill Banerjee said the event gives all of the members something to aim for and nurtures a bit of friendly rivalry.
