Children, and people with learning disabilities, got together on Sunday to record a charity single.
Ten children from Solomons School of Performing Arts in Finchley joined with ten adults with learning disabilities to sing an upbeat song written specially for the occasion.
All proceeds from the CD sales will go to Barnet Mencap which provides support and advice to people with learning disabilities.
The recording took place in Solomons’ hi-tech recording studio where the singers learnt a song called Spirit of Life written by dance musician, Russell Lee.
The children will sell some of the CDs and others will be on sale from Solomons and from charity shops for £5 each.
Ami Solomons, founder of the performing arts school, said: “The song expresses your desire to fulfil all your dreams and was a wonderful chance for young students to meet people from Mencap and be part of something special.
“The recording was brilliant. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. It was lovely.”
