Mill Hill County High School is celebrating after its students gained their best A-Level results ever.

The Worcester Crescent school entered 186 students for A-Level exams and today’s results show that 14 per cent of their exam grades were A*s, and a further 28 per cent were As.

Eight of the students also received offers from Oxford or Cambridge.

Deputy headteacher Keith Hudson said: “We are absolutely delighted with these results. They are the best we have ever had.

“It has been a very good year for our sixth form.”

One of the students who will be heading up to Cambridge following today’s results is 18-year-old Christian Nnochiri.

Mr Nnochiri, who lives in Gervase Road, Burnt Oak, achieved A*A*AA in economics, maths, politics and geography.

He is now going to take a gap year to do some modelling and go travelling.

In October 2013 he will take up a place at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, where he will study land economy.

He said: “I am very pleased; I thought I had done what I had to do and I am relieved to know that I have.

“I can’t wait to go up to Cambridge. Ever since I started school it is what I was aiming for and I am relieved to have finally got there.”

Mr Nnochiri will be the fourth generation of his family to attend Gonville and Caius.

He follows in the footsteps of his great grandfather, grandfather and father.
